About me
Dr. Neda Ghaffari is a perinatologist, an obstetrician who specializes in high-risk pregnancies, prenatal diagnoses of disorders or complications, and prenatal ultrasound. Her expertise includes caring for pregnant patients with heart disease or cancer, as well as women whose pregnancies involve birth defects. She also performs prenatal tests such as fetal echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), nuchal translucency screening and amniocentesis.
Ghaffari's research investigates ways to improve maternal-fetal medicine, patient safety, and care for pregnant patients with obesity and diabetes.
Ghaffari earned her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at LAC + USC Medical Center and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Ghaffari is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and she is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and American Medical Association.
