About me
Dr. Nerys Benfield is an obstetrician and gynecologist who specializes in complex family planning. She provides general obstetric care during labor and delivery and has particular expertise in contraception and abortion care.
Benfield's research focuses on improving operations to better support a safe and therapeutic healing environment for patients. She also studies access to contraception and family planning for patients and families in America as well as internationally.
At UCSF, Benfield earned her medical degree and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology. She has a master of public health degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
