About me
Dr. Rose Monahan is an allergist and immunologist who cares for patients with a wide variety of allergic and immune deficiency conditions. She has special interests in medication allergies and medical education.
Monahan's research focuses on how to provide efficient high-quality allergy care to patients with drug allergies. She also devotes much of her time to educating doctors training in UCSF's allergy and immunology fellowship program.
Monahan earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Los Angeles County and the University of Southern California (LAC+USC), followed by a fellowship in allergy and immunology at UCSF.

I had a great experience with Dr. Rose (pardon I forgot how to spell her last name) listened and answered questions and walked me through all the things I could do but not all at once as it could be costly but start small with the mattress and pillow covers. It was just nice that I wasn't told to get rid of my cats, phew! Dr. Rose was informative and kind.

The Doctor care and service as well as my concerns were very direct, specific and extremely well addressed. Good to be taken care by a doctor of her caliber, professionalism and training. Makes me feel safe, specially with something so sensitive and life threatening as food allergies

Although no cure or treatment can be provided for y allergy, the explanation as to why makes complete sense, and she noted in my chart why this medication must not be used in future. Sometimes it sounds better coming from a professional rather that what could be a patient being difficult and uneducated. Thank you.

Excellent service with Dr.Rose, she listens carefully to her patients and ensures patients understand necessary information. She is a joy to be around and is very welcoming.
