About me
Sarah Elgart is a family nurse practitioner who provides primary care, with a focus on caring for women and LGBTQ+ patients. Emphasizing holistic health care, she aims to empower her patients to make effective decisions for themselves. Her interests include infectious disease, comprehensive contraceptive and gynecologic care, transgender health and health policy.
Elgart earned a master's degree in education at Harvard University and a master's degree in nursing at Yale School of Nursing. She is certified as an HIV specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. She worked at Fenway Health, which has a focus on serving Boston's LGBTQ+ community, before coming to UCSF.
