About me

Dr. Shawn Torres is a primary care doctor with expertise in preventing, diagnosing and treating chronic disorders. She has a special interest in relieving chronic conditions through lifestyle changes. Her approach is to see her patients as whole people, taking their physical, mental and social health into account while working to understand and address any illness.

Torres is passionate about reducing health inequities in Spanish-speaking communities. She is also interested in improving doctor training and how doctors deliver care.

Torres earned her medical degree at UCSF. She completed a residency in primary care at NYU Langone Health.

Outside of work, Torres enjoys hiking, cycling, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her husband and dog.
