About me
Dr. Susan Voglmaier is a psychiatrist who cares for adults with mental health disorders. She uses both medications and talk therapy techniques in her practice.
In her research, Voglmaier studies neurotransmitter release (a way that nerve cells use chemical messengers to quickly send information). She also investigates better ways to educate the next generation of research psychiatrists.
Voglmaier earned her medical degree and a doctorate from the Johns Hopkins University. She completed her psychiatry residency as well as a research fellowship at UCSF.
