Dr. Tammy T. Chang is a surgeon who specializes in gastrointestinal conditions as well as urgent conditions requiring prompt treatment.

Chang directs a research laboratory that focuses on liver tissue engineering and regenerative surgical therapies, which stimulate the formation of new tissue.

Chang earned her combined medical and doctoral degrees at Harvard Medical School. She completed her general surgery residency at UCSF, followed by her fellowship in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery.
