About me

Dr. Wendy Zhen is an optometrist who provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages with eye diseases. Her experience includes diagnosing, treating and managing a wide range of conditions, including refractive errors (nearsightedness, astigmatism and other common vision problems), amblyopia (sometimes called lazy eye), progressive myopia, dry eye, red eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal tears and detachments, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. She brings patience and attention to detail into her daily practice, so that she can treat disorders effectively and educate her patients about their conditions.

Zhen earned her doctor of optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry. She completed a residency in primary eye care and ocular disease at BronxCare Health System, an affiliate of the State University of New York College of Optometry. Her residency training included extensive experience in acute and chronic ocular diseases, ocular emergencies and pediatric eye care. Zhen is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Zhen loves exploring nature while chasing scenic shots with her camera, as well as traveling, making arts and crafts, and eating. She is a huge animal lover, and especially fond of dogs.
