Hemophilia diagnosis and treatment
At UCSF Health, our expertise in hemophilia care is regionally and nationally recognized. Founded in 1977, our program was among the first of its kind in the U.S. and remains a leader in the field today. We have been designated by the state of California and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a hemophilia treatment center in recognition of our high-quality care.
We offer a full range of services for adults and children with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, platelet disorders and other rare bleeding disorders. In addition to diagnosis and treatment, we provide health education, counseling and resources to improve safety and quality of life for our patients.
