Why choose UCSF Health for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) care?
UCSF Health specializes in comprehensive screening, diagnosis and treatment of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). This rare genetic disorder affects the blood vessels. We have one of the oldest HHT programs in Northern California, and we're a designated center of excellence by Cure HHT, the leading organization for HHT research and education.
Our specialists collaborate with cerebrovascular experts to study brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). HHT is one of the few genetic causes of AVMs, where arteries and veins tangle together. We use the most advanced screenings and diagnostic tests to detect AVMs in the brain, lungs, liver and other organs.
As a top referral program, we have deep experience diagnosing and treating HHT and its complications. At UCSF Health, you receive comprehensive, innovative and patient-centered HHT care.
