You may benefit from palliative care if you have cancer, heart failure, kidney disease, liver failure, lung disease, neurological conditions or other life-altering illnesses. We provide palliative care alongside your medical treatment and communicate regularly with providers on your care team.
Our palliative care services include:
Treatment planning. We help you and your loved ones make decisions about your future medical care that align with your values and preferences.
Outpatient palliative care services. People who are not hospitalized have access to palliative care providers at our clinic, in person or virtually.
Symptom management. We address symptoms such as pain, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, fatigue and anxiety. Our team can also teach patients and loved ones about drug-free methods to ease symptoms.
Spiritual care. Chaplains representing many faiths are available at our hospitals to support patients and loved ones through this difficult time. Learn more about spiritual care services.
Hospice care. We coordinate closely with quality end-of-life care hospice providers, including By the Bay Health hospice network, for inpatient and outpatient care.
