Gynecologic Dysplasia Clinic

The UCSF Gynecologic Dysplasia Clinic offers state-of-the-art care for women with cervical dysplasia, genital warts and related conditions.

Cervical dysplasia is a precancerous condition, typically caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and often detected by a Pap smear.

We provide a full range of screening and treatment options, including colposcopy, which allows us to closely examine the cervix, as well as loop excision and laser therapy to remove abnormal tissue. We also offer the ThinPrep Pap test, an improved version of the conventional Pap test.
