Deborah Chen Besson, MD


Dr. Deborah Chen Besson is an internist in Women's Health Primary Care at UCSF Medical Center. As a primary care doctor, she provides health education and comprehensive care to help her patients achieve and maintain optimal health. Her interests include preventative medicine and chronic disease management. She believes in building strong patient-provider relationships and guiding her patients through lifestyle and health care decisions.

Besson graduated from Princeton University with a concentration in molecular biology, attended University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center. She is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at UCSF and earned board certification in internal medicine in 2014.
