Privileged to be my dog's human

About me

Pronouns: He | Him | His

Dr. Ezequiel Goldschmidt, who goes by Eze, is a neurosurgeon who cares for patients with brain, skull base and pituitary gland tumors. He has particular expertise in using minimally invasive approaches.

In research, Goldschmidt seeks to deepen understanding of human anatomy in order to improve surgical techniques and facilitate access to complex lesions during procedures. He is also interested in how developmental biology can advance understanding of tumor growth and help brains recover from injury.

A proud member of the Latinx community, Goldschmidt earned his medical degree and doctorate at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, where he studied the regeneration of human dura (the outermost membrane covering the brain). He completed a residency in neurosurgery and a fellowship in skull base surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. At the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, he completed a postdoctoral surgical fellowship in neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain's neural pathways to change in response to stimulation ranging from new information to injury).

After visit instructions confusing. PA and support staff seemed to change Dr.s orders but I could have misunderstood.

Doctor even if he was obviously behind or delayed due to ER he experienced earlier he never displayed any type of rush to complete my appointment. He gave me time to gather my thoughts when something was explained to me. Not once did I feel rushed!

Patient skills grossly lacking. Put in little effort. I've been living with these brain Issues for 22 years. He asked me questions yet wouldn't let me finish my answer. When I asked questions he glossed over my concerns as if they were not important. Could not get a detailed answer from him. Couldn't carry on a conversation. I am very intelligent and persistent. Since a final decision had not been made I strategically let his non-reponsive answers go for now. I will ask them again and insist on detailed explanations. I also suspected a bias as to age but can't prove it now - but I will ask a direct question as to whether any surgical decisions are based on age and why. I assume he he is highly skilled but I would change neurosurgeons if I could.

This neurosurgeon seemed uninterested about explaining my condition. The appt. Felt like it was a waste of his time.
