Jessica Hovatter, RN, MSN, FNP

Nurse practitioner

Jessica Hovatter is a board-certified nurse practitioner at the UCSF neurosurgery satellite clinic in Greenbrae. She spends half of her time at the outpatient clinic, where she works with adult brain and spine neurosurgical patients, prepares patients for surgery, and provides post-surgical care. The other half of her time is spent at Marin General Hospital, where she cares for both trauma and elective neurosurgical patients.

In 2015, Hovatter participated in the UCSF Intensive Care Nursery Preemie Project, working to prevent brain hemorrhage and ischemic brain injury in low birth weight infants. She previously worked in the Intensive Care Nursery at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, which provides care for critically ill newborns and treats the smallest, sickest and most fragile babies.

Hovatter earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University in 2009. She is a member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
