Dr. Andrew Bollen specializes in neuropathology (diagnosis of nervous system disease by examining tissue, fluid or other samples). His expertise includes central nervous system tumors and infections as well as muscle and nerve pathology.

Bollen earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. At UCSF, he completed a residency in anatomic pathology and a fellowship in neuropathology, and subsequently joined the faculty. In addition, he has a doctor of veterinary medicine degree.
