About me
Dr. Bonnie N. Joe is chief of breast imaging for the UCSF radiology and biomedical imaging department. Her expertise includes screening for breast cancer using digital breast tomosynthesis (3D digital mammography) and breast cancer evaluation using breast MRI, dedicated breast PET and breast ultrasound. Joe specializes in performing stereotactic (X-ray guided), ultrasound and MRI breast biopsies.
Joe has a doctorate in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in body MRI at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She a fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging.
