Dr. Carlton Scharman is a hematologist-oncologist who cares for patients with a wide variety of cancers and blood-related conditions. He has a particular interest in caring for patients with lung cancer. As a former patient himself, he seeks to incorporate insights from his personal experience into his patients' treatment and is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate, patient-centered and accessible care.

Scharman earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. He completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Tufts Medical Center, where he participated in international collaborative research on Hodgkin's lymphoma.

In his free time, Scharman enjoys being with his family, exploring the outdoors, playing acoustic guitar, discovering new restaurants and traveling.
