Genitourinary oncologist

Dr. Rohit Bose is a genitourinary oncologist who specializes in caring for patients with prostate cancer.
Bose's research focuses on developing new treatment strategies for prostate cancer. His lab focuses on understanding how molecular alterations combine in patients' tumors and identifying vulnerabilities in tumors with large numbers of such alterations. His work is aligned with current UCSF clinical trials (studies to improve upon existing cancer treatments). His research receives support from the National Institutes of Health, United States Department of Defense, Prostate Cancer Foundation and UCSF Benioff Initiative for Prostate Cancer Research.
Bose earned his medical degree and a doctorate in molecular genetics at the University of Toronto. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, followed by fellowships in medical oncology and advanced oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
