Arthur Chyan

Anesthesiologist

Dr. Arthur Chyan is an anesthesiologist who cares for patients undergoing procedures or surgeries. He specializes in providing anesthesia for pregnant people, including management of discomfort during labor.

Chyan's research focuses on anesthesia for high-risk pregnancies, including those involving placenta accreta (a complication where the placenta grows into the uterine wall or beyond). He also incorporates technology and simulation into his work on quality improvement and medical education.

Chyan earned his medical degree at Touro University California. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at Westchester Medical Center and a fellowship in obstetric anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Chyan is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology, International Anesthesia Research Society and California Society of Anesthesiologists.
