About me

Dr. Max L. Cohen is a pulmonologist who specializes in caring for patients with interstitial lung diseases (conditions that cause scarring in the lungs).

In research, Cohen focuses on understanding how abnormal interactions among lung cells contribute to pulmonary fibrosis (lung scarring).

Cohen earned his doctorate in molecular, cellular and developmental biology and his medical degree at the University of Colorado. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UCSF.
