Dr. Paul Cheng is an anesthesiologist who cares for patients in the operating room and wherever pain relief is needed. He oversees the administration of general anesthesia (when patients are "completely asleep"), obstetric anesthesia (easing pain during childbirth) and regional anesthesia (addressing severe pain in a targeted area).

Academically, Cheng focuses on education and mentorship for medical students, residents and fellows interested in general anesthesiology and pain management.

Cheng earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Chicago Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in pain medicine at the University of California, Davis Medical Center.
