Florence Yuen is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients receiving radiation therapy as part of treatment for breast cancer. She participates in consultations for new patients, as well as on-treatment and post-radiation follow-up care. She has a special interest in wound care for breast cancer patients, including how to minimize and treat radiation skin reactions and has presented numerous talks and co-authored a book on the subject.

Yuen assists with research examining how shorter courses of radiation therapy affect breast cancer patients who have had breast reconstruction surgery.

Yuen earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. She completed her training to become a nurse practitioner at UCSF.
