Ivan Arriaga-Martinez is a physical therapist who cares for patients of all ages with injuries from athletics, accidents or overuse. He also works with those recovering from surgery.
Arriaga-Martinez's research focuses on comparing and improving outcomes in telehealth rehabilitation, the use of blood flow restriction after knee surgeries to aid recovery, and the effects of myofascial decompression (also called cupping) on soft tissues.
Arriaga-Martinez earned a bachelor's degree in physiology and neuroscience and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California, San Diego. He earned his doctor of physical therapy degree through the joint program of UCSF and San Francisco State University. He is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist.
