Jessica Hovatter

Nurse practitioner
Jessica Hovatter is a nurse practitioner at UCSF's neurosurgery satellite clinic in Greenbrae. At the outpatient clinic, she works with adult brain and spine neurosurgical patients, preparing them for surgery and providing postoperative care. At Marin General Hospital, she cares for both trauma and elective neurosurgical patients.
In 2015, Hovatter participated in the UCSF Preemie Project, an interdisciplinary effort to prevent brain hemorrhage and improve neurodevelopmental outcomes for infants of low birth weight receiving intensive care. She previously worked in the intensive care nursery at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, which provides care for the smallest, sickest and most fragile babies.
Hovatter earned her master of science degree in nursing from Samuel Merritt University. She is a member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
