Dr. Jyotsna Vincent is an internal medicine specialist who enjoys building trust-based relationships with her patients. Through ongoing collaboration and communication, she helps them manage new health concerns as well as chronic conditions.

Vincent earned a master's degree in biophysics before attending medical school at Georgetown University, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine.

Vincent grew up in Hong Kong and Singapore before moving to the eastern United States in her teens. She now lives in San Mateo with her husband and two sons, and spends free time hiking and playing outdoors with her family. She also enjoys running, bicycling, trying new foods and reading a good book on a rainy day.

    Dr. Vincent is clearly very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. However, her attentiveness wasn't as expected. I understand that she was squeezing me in because I was late but the appointment was rushed. As a new patient of hers I didn't feel like there was a sense of connection. Again, I appreciate her level of expertise but the comfort in knowing that I made the best decision to choose her as my primary care physician is questionable. Hopefully, the next visit will be better.

    I wish you had a "10" option for Dr. Vincent. I have never experienced a more caring doctor. She is intelligent, professional, listens, always allows time for a comprehensive visit - For the first time in my life, I look forward to my appointments with my doctor. Dr. Vincent Is lovely in every way. I have a few friends that are considering changing their medical program and join UCSF in order to experience her care.

    Care provider fail to let me know steps to take after I asked for a referral. Also ignored my leg pain and had to go to a chiropractic instead.

    She was not prepared. I indicated in my schedule appointment the purpose of the consultation. I informed the UCSF personnel who called me before the consultation what the purposes of this. I felt that there was no quality and I did not gain anything from this. This was a complete waste of my time.

    Dr. Vincent is the ABSOLUTE BEST! She keeps me informed and interested about my health. She listens to me really well and takes time to explain things to me. I hope she gets even more opportunities to teach trainees.

    It is now 24 hours since my appt and I still have not received my after visit summary which was supposed to include instructions about how to take my medication as well as instructions to get a test done. I sent the doctor a message this morning as well and still no response.

    I have a very detailed description of all my symptoms and a recent experience with a panic attack I had never had in the past. The doctor never once made eye contact. She only stared at the computer. She showed zero sympathy for how terrified I was. It was like pulling teeth to get any information out of her. I asked question after question about how to rectify the situation. Those questions were met with one or two word answers that were not helpful. Shared with her what I had already been doing and got zero feedback if I was on the right track. I actually felt judgement coming from the doctor. It was hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional.

    She listened to me, didn't rush and gave me a referral for a request I had but I was surprised that she didn't listen to my heart or lungs. She didn't look in my nose or mouth. Actually, I wasn't touched by this doctor.
