About me
Dr. Naghma Farooqi is an obstetrician and gynecologist. She serves as director for Labor and Delivery at UCSF.
Farooqi's research has investigated medical education, sexual education (including as pertains to condom use), treatments for gestational diabetes and issues related to cesarean delivery, including cesarean hysterectomy (uterus removal at the time of a cesarean section).
Farooqi earned her medical degree from Fatima Jinnah Women University in Pakistan. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Farooqi is a member of the California Medical Association, Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Texas Medical Association and San Francisco Gynecological Society. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr Farooql is the best physician I have ever met. She shows she cares about her patient and explain my condition clearly. UCSF is so lucky to have her and so do I.

I love Dr. Farooqi - she's sharp, experienced and takes time to answer questions and explain her rationale. It's rare to find a doctor who cares so much about the well being of her patients. I've even been willing to wait for months to get an appointment, a testament to the quality of care
