About me

Natalie Olsen is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients during cancer treatment. She also assists with lung cancer research by caring for patients while they participate in studies.

Olsen earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Mary's College and her master's degree in nursing from UCSF, where she specialized in oncology and geriatrics.

Olsen is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society. After starting her career at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and UCSF, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 10 years, educating employees and health care providers about lung cancer and its treatments. She is thrilled to return to UCSF.

Olsen has lived in San Francisco for more than 20 years. She lives with her husband – who works at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center – and daughter, an avid soccer player.
