Dr. Neel Singhal is a neurologist who cares for adults in UCSF's Neurointensive Care Unit. He specializes in stroke, traumatic brain injury and other neurologic emergencies.

Singhal conducts research at the UCSF Cardiovascular Research Institute. He is interested in improving the abilities to diagnose, treat and determine prognoses for patients with critical neurologic injuries.

Singhal earned his medical degree and a doctoral degree in neuroscience from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in neurology and a fellowship in neurocritical care at UCSF.

Singhal is a member of the Neurocritical Care Society and American Heart Association.
