Shravan Sridhar, MD

Dr. Shravan Sridhar is a radiologist who specializes in heart and lung imaging. He cares for adults with cardiothoracic conditions (those involving organs inside the chest). In addition to interpreting cardiothoracic imaging studies, he performs lung biopsies guided by computed tomography.

Sridhar's areas of research include examining predictors of pulmonary valve surgery in patients with tetralogy of Fallot (a combination of four birth defects of the heart that causes insufficient oxygen in the blood).

Sridhar earned a master's degree in biomedical engineering, awarded summa cum laude, at Arizona State University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, where he was a service-learning scholar and peer tutor. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of New Mexico and a fellowship in cardiac and pulmonary imaging at UCSF.

Sridhar has received numerous honors, including a resident educator award from UCSF and several awards from the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), including the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award. He has served as a consulting editor for the American Journal of Roentgenology.
