About me
She | Her | Hers
Dr. Wenjia Zhang is a gynecologist and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon who cares for patients with endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, Asherman's syndrome, problems from poor healing of C-section incisions, and other conditions of the reproductive system. She has training in advanced endoscopic techniques and robotic surgery, and enjoys collaborating with other providers to tailor plans to her patients' complex needs.
Zhang's research investigates disparities in care for endometriosis, intrauterine scarring following endoscopic removal of fibroids, and the use of surgical robotic technology for noncancerous gynecologic conditions.
At UCSF, Zhang earned her medical degree and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology. After she completed a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, she returned to UCSF to join the faculty. She is passionate about medical education and eager to train the next generation of surgeon-scientists.
