About me

Pronouns: She | Her | Hers

Dr. Xin Wu, who goes by Cynthia, is a neuroradiologist with a special interest in head and neck imaging. She performs general radiological procedures involving the nervous system, as well as specific imaging of the ear, nose and throat, including complex head and neck studies. She also collaborates with colleagues from other specialties to care for patients with cancer.

In research, Wu focuses on using advanced magnetic resonance (MR) techniques to image head and neck tumors; improving imaging of rare and unconventional cancer spread patterns; and identifying postsurgical head and neck findings that may mimic disease. She is also interested in MR images of brain tumors and tissues with tumor-like characteristics as well as advanced MR imaging of mild traumatic brain injuries.

Wu earned her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned a certificate in clinical neuroscience. She completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at New York University and a fellowship in neuroradiology at UCSF, where she also served as chief fellow and as a clinical instructor.
