Angela Laffan, MS, NP

Assistant Director, Gastrointestinal Oncology Survivorship Program

Angela Laffan is a nurse practitioner with the UCSF Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology Clinic and assistant director of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Survivorship Program.

She helps patients manage side effects from gastrointestinal cancer and its treatments, using a holistic approach. She also educates patients on how to improve their health and quality of life and reduce their risk of cancer recurrence. Laffan has more than 25 years of experience in oncology nursing.

A native of Australia, Laffan received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Deakin University in Geelong. She received her master's degree from UCSF's adult nurse practitioner program, with a minor in integrative medicine. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society.
