Liver care for the Asian community
We developed our program to improve liver care and health education within the Bay Area Asian community.
Recognizing the diversity within the Asian community, we provide culturally appropriate information and education on liver disease. We have providers who speak Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese. Interpreters for other Asian languages are also available.
Improving liver care for Asian Americans
Partnering with liver disease and transplant experts, we strive to:
Improve access to care. We're increasing access to specialty liver care for the Bay Area's Asian community.
Provide education. We're improving awareness of liver diseases that disproportionately affect Asian Americans, such as hepatitis B and liver cancer.
Boost representation in research. We're helping more Asian Americans participate in clinical trials related to liver disease. Better representation in clinical trials leads to more effective treatments for the Asian community.
