Many stroke clinics only do a one-time follow-up after hospitalization for a stroke. At UCSF Health, we are your partner for life. We work with you long-term to manage all aspects of your health that affect stroke risk. We provide ongoing care that focuses on blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes management and other stroke risk factors.

When you come to us, either for stroke care or for a consultation, you meet with a stroke specialist. That specialist continues to work with you and manage your care. Our approach allows us to get to know you, provide consistent care and build a long-term relationship with you. Some of our patients have been with us for years.
