Dr. Shindell was amazing; he kept a gently conversational tone during the procedure to keep my mind off what he was doing. Checked in at regular intervals to let me know I would feel a pinch and was thorough in his explanations. Highly recommend this provider.

Lovely people all around. UCSF is lucky to have Dr. Shindel and his team. Dr. Shindel is an excellent urologist whose manner makes it possible to address even the most difficult to discuss subject matter. Abigail, the nurse for my procedure, was also amazingly thoughtful and attentive.

Dr. Shindel fit me in, but I did not feel he rushed through our appointment. He put in post visit instructions, orders for lab work, and ultrasound timely, which were all very helpful for the progress of my care.

Overall, excellent experience for my first-time encounter with this doctor. One very minor observation: Apparently after 18 minutes into our video visit, the doctor said he had another patient waiting, implying we had to wind things up pretty quickly. ( I guess the allotted time slot is 15 minutes.). I really like this doctor overall and appreciate and need his expertise, so to be more efficient I will have all my questions and comments written down before my next visit and talk really fast.

This was the first time I received detailed information about the probable history and development of my condition, what changes in my diet may help mitigate my issue and if unresolved then how serious medication will affect my overall health in not a positive way.

I had been waiting for this appointment for a while, and was expecting to discuss my upcoming prostate biopsy, since this is the only appointment I had with your office before that appointment. I did a lot of research and had a bunch of questions, and was told that I would need to speak to the surgeon who will do the biopsy (who turned out to be different to the one that was mentioned). I felt rushed (had less than 20 minutes), the provider knew next to nothing about my case, and had not read the results of the MRI that was pertinent to my biopsy, nor had he responded to an email that was sent by my colorectal surgeon a week before. If he wasn't the appropriate person for me to speak to, your office should have set up the appointment with someone else.
