Dr. Binh Trinh specializes in surgeries of the lung and chest. He cares for patients with various tumors of the chest, including lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mediastinal tumors and mesothelioma. He also treats noncancerous conditions such as emphysema, hyperhidrosis, diaphragmatic hernia and tracheal stenosis. He is especially interested in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery and robotics applications.

He went on to complete his general surgery residency at USC, followed by a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at UCSF. He joined the staff at UCSF in 2016.

There are so much to ask and to be explained about a cancer issue that I always leave the doctor's office with the feeling I am still missing something. It will be difficult to leave the office very satisfied but compared with previous experience this was the best I ever had.
