Dr. Jesse Alexander is a radiation oncologist, a specialist in treating cancer with radiation therapy. His focus is on easing symptoms, such as pain, bleeding and shortness of breath.
Alexander's research aims to improve quality of life and reduce side effects for cancer patients. Specifically, he has an interest in applying data science techniques to analyze cancer data, seeking to better understand how treatment and patient characteristics are associated with quality of life and side effects.
Alexander earned a doctorate in biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before completing his medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at UCSF.
