Dr. Joanne Guo is a neurologist who specializes in multiple sclerosis (MS) and similar disorders, providing comprehensive, individualized care for patients at all stages. Guo graduated summa cum laude from the Ohio State University with a degree in biochemistry and psychology. She earned her medical degree at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed a residency in neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and a fellowship in neuroimmunology at UCSF, joining the faculty in 2019.

    I appreciate the thoughtful care I receive from Dr. Guo. After a bit of a hiatus from live visits, due to Covid restrictions, it Is nice to be examined in person, thoroughly, along with face to face discussions regarding my physical and mental status. Both my husband and I look forward to our annual in-person visit. Dr. Guo gets 20 out of 10 from us!

    Dr. Guo did a most excellent job taking the time to listen to my wife's and my observations and questions. She introduced her trainee Layla and allowed her to begin the interview, which she did admirably. Afterwards, Dr. Guo continued, generously addressing all of our concerns until neither side had any more to share. The tone was perfect - cheerful, yet serious.

    Dr. Guo is so much more than being super nice and professional, she's such a good listener and supporting care giver to talk to, who gives clear and workable advice with understanding and encouraging tone. She always addresses all my questions and concerns thoroughly, involving me in the decision, and made sure I feel completely comfortable and confident in the medical advice and treatment plan.
