Dr. Joseph Sabatino Jr. is a neurologist with expertise in caring for patients who have multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica (a neurological disorder that primarily affects the optic nerves and spinal cord) and other neuroinflammatory disorders (conditions in which immune responses lead to nervous system damage).
Sabatino's research focuses on T-cell immunology in multiple sclerosis and similar disorders.
Sabatino earned his medical degree and doctorate at the Emory University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in neurology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at UCSF.
