I noted a significant rash.discoloration On returning from appt that had not been covered in exam. I sent photo to MD who promptly replied that it had been noted and did not need treatment. I would have liked a name for this and how to get rid of it cosmetically if not medicallythen I could look into it further

A few non-prescription OTC recommendations were made, I did not take notes, and didn't receive follow up on what those OTC medications were. It would be helpful to have received a note summarizing those, or perhaps having them entered into my patient portal.

One of the best experiences I've ever had with a physician

I may have asked about topical medication in lieu of visiting a cosmetic dermatologist or over-the-counter drugs. Did not get my question answered. I was hoping that the lesions I was concerned about would be frozen/burned/treated on the spot. Instead, I have to go to another provider for care.

Dr. Qas going to call me with biopsy results but I have not heard from her, somewhat disappointed.

I have only seen this care provider once so it is hard to evaluate whether I would refer them to others.

All of my concerns were listened to and addressed to my full satisfaction.

Not only did she took the time to explain me my condition so I can manage better it on the long run, but she also took the time to treat something that I hadn't planned to bring up and hadn't thought was important. Terrific bed side manner and wonderfully informative.

We have been trying to eliminate my disabled daughter's rash that started around her GTube since last spring and most treatments didn't work. Some worked briefly but did not entirely clear it up. The 3 ointments Dr. Shinkai prescribed (telling us to mix them together just before applying them) have cleared up almost all the rash in less than a week. We are so relieved and thankful. My daughter is more comfortable than she has been in many months.

Dr Shinkai is a great listener. We have great conversations regarding my treatment progress, or lack of. She answers all my questions and we discuss potential options and we choose what's we feel is best to pursue.

Dr Shinkai is the best!! The insurance or UCSF rules about a 10 minute visit are ridiculous. It is impossible to get a full body check by the dermatologist in 10 minutes. She needs to have more time to look at you and evaluate your condition. I feel that she was pressed for time and gave the best exam she could, under the time limit.

I like that she fully explains the pros and cons of options and why she is deciding to pursue one course of treatment
