Dr. Katie Grouse is a neurologist who cares for patients with a variety of neurological conditions. She has special training in electromyography (testing used to assess the health of muscles and the nerves controlling them).

Grouse earned her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She completed a residency in neurology at Rush University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in neurophysiology and electromyography at UCSF.

As a general neurologist, I provide a broad spectrum of neurological care and work closely with my colleagues in neurology subspecialties. I evaluate and treat most neurologic conditions, including vertigo, headache, numbness, tingling, weakness and episodic disorders.

    I absolutely adore Dr Grouse. She makes every appointment easy and friendly. She has always listened to me when I was at my end of trying with doctors. She never made me feel like I was a bother like so many other physicians. I will drive 4 hours to see her forever.

    Dr. Carrie Grouse is the best! I have had major disappointments with other departments such as spinal surgery at UCSF but this neurology department is terrific

    Again I always come at end of day/last appt for Dr Grouse and she always spends time talking about how I've been feeling answering questions etc. I know she has a family and she's now expecting so I know she must want to get home at that point and she never ever rushes me. She's really great.

    The care provider is always nice and she explains everything while she is disbursing the treatment. She makes it easy to accept the treatment and even through the pain.

    The only problem is the limited time (one hour) that the care providers are allowed to meet with a neurological patient for the first time. For individuals with complex longer term neurological problems at least one hour and a half would be more helpful.

    Dr. Grouse is not only an outstanding doctor but an amazing person as well. She is hands down the BEST doctor in any medical specialty I've been fortunate to have in my corner to get my health back on track.

    Dr Grouse was excellent. She was thorough and showed a lot of care and made me feel heard and cared for. She made me feel much better about the prospects of needing spine surgery. I would easily recommend her to others.
