Kirsten Kangelaris



Dr. Kirsten Kangelaris is a specialist in coordinating care for patients staying in the hospital. Her expertise covers a wide range of conditions, from acute lung injury to sepsis.

In her research, Kangelaris focuses on identifying and testing genetic and biological markers that could be used for risk prediction and targeted treatments in hospitalized adults with critical illnesses.

Kangelaris earned her medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School, where she also completed a residency in internal medicine. At UCSF, she completed a general internal medicine research fellowship and earned a master of advanced study degree in clinical research.

Kangelaris is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine and American Thoracic Society.
