Dr. Mallar Bhattacharya is a critical care and pulmonary specialist who cares for patients hospitalized with critical illness or lung disease.
Bhattacharya's research interests include pneumonia, septic shock and severe asthma.
After earning a bachelor's degree at Harvard College and a master's degree in neuroscience at the University of Oxford, Bhattacharya attended Harvard Medical School. He then completed a residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at UCSF. He also did research training at the UCSF Lung Biology Center.
