    Dr. Meng was extremely informative and direct, which we very much appreciated. He made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions thoroughly and openly.     Dr. Meng is nationally known. Although I was very satified with my ex-haelth plan (the physicians are excellent), I decided to have my nephrectomy pperformed by Dr. Meng.

    I asked when I was next do for a cat scan and he asked "when did you have the last one?" He has all that info on my portal so why ask me? I've dealt with numerous Issues besides cancer in the last 2 years and have had Innumerable scans of all types for different Issues. I count on my provider to be on top of when I need a Ct Urogram. It turned out I was over-do and it should have been scheduled before this visit, which would have saved me lots of time and aggravation since I live almost 2 hours away.

    There are no words to appropriately explain how wonderful the care Dr.Meng has provided me over the years. His expertise has been wonderful and spot on. He created a confidence in me through his expert care that eased the fear I felt with my diagnosis. I have seen Dr. Meng since 2008. He and his staff have always provided the highest level of care. I wish all doctors were like him with a staff to match.

    I seriously doubt whether Dr. Meng even looked at my chart before he came into the exam room. He seemed not to know when I had my last cystoscopy and asked me to confirm that I had last seen him six months previous. It had in fact been 4 months. He did ask how I was doing and a few other brief questions, but the whole appointment was less than 5 minutes; this was after he kept me waiting for a full hour.

    Dr. Meng was superb in explaining the options to consider for my surgery. The discussions started with our strategy that was set up at our last visit 2 months earlier and continued with considering last week's test results. I most appreciated that after I made the decision for surgery, he asked my wife who was with me what she thought of the decision and if she also had any additional questions. Dr. Meng is very aware of the husband-wife dynamics involved with these types of decisions.

    I was a little concerned when Dr. Meng dismissed my question about my last cat scan by saying it was "routine". It was not "routine" but prompted by something that showed up in my urine. I was then doubly concerned when I got home to a message from his staff asking if I had scheduled a cat scan for this visit. What? This all made me concerned that, since I am almost 3 yrs post surgery, not very close attention Is being paid to my care.

    My visit with Dr. Meng was extremely productive in setting up a strategy for my condition. His logic was precise and he took time to reexplain the timing for any surgery that might be considered and noted that any decision requires more data. This was, by far, the best discussion I have had with any cancer specialist on my condition over these last 12 months of treatment. My compliments to Dr. Meng for being both approachable and direct In explaining my options.
