G. Michael Harper

Dr. G. Michael Harper is a geriatrician who provides primary care to older homebound adults in San Francisco. As a clinician-teacher, he also trains medical students, residents and fellows. He serves as medical director for two San Francisco older adult communities: the Carlisle, an assisted living facility, and the Sequoias, a continuing care retirement community.

Harper earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in geriatrics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Harper serves on the executive committee and board of directors of the American Geriatrics Society.
