Dr. Garcia is a phenomenal physician. His care is deeply patient-centered and consistently reflects the highest standards of compassion, clinical excellence, and professionalism. I've worked with Dr. Garcia for nearly two years and in every appointment, he takes the time to truly listen, ensure I feel heard and seen, as well as respected, informed, and actively involved in my care decisions. I am very grateful that he exhibits the unique ability to combine exceptional medical expertise with empathy. Since the very first appointment, he created an environment of trust and comfort, which is especially vital for conversations about life-altering experiences. Dr. Garcia demonstrates outstanding clinical judgment, attention to detail, and upholds a strong commitment to evidence-based medicine. When I ask questions about pharmacotherapies, he approaches each not only using the most recent literature, but also considers my medical state, my history with epilepsy, and key details to ensure an informed decision can be made for the best outcome. His communication is clear, thoughtful, and reassuring, making even complex medical information understandable. Furthermore, Dr. Garcia exemplifies upmost integrity, humility, and dedication to my care. His professionalism, reliability, and calm demeanor inspire confidence in both me and my family. Overall, Dr. Garcia is the type of physician every patient deserves to have and UCSF is fortunate to have him onboard as faculty.
