Dr. Terrie Mendelson is an internal medicine specialist who cares for hospitalized patients and provides primary care. She has particular interests in working with patients who have had complex knee or hip replacements (surgery to address complications from a previous joint implant) and those who develop infection after a joint replacement, as well as patients who need advanced management of multiple conditions.
Mendelson earned her medical degree and completed a residency in internal medicine at UCSF. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
In addition to caring for patients, Mendelson is a dedicated educator who has won awards for teaching and mentorship. She is the director of graduate medical education and director of the residency program in internal medicine at UCSF Health St. Mary's Hospital.
