Dr. Vasiliki Tatsis is an obstetrician gynecologist who cares for women giving birth in the hospital. She has expertise in handling obstetric emergencies. In addition to providing care during childbirth, she has been an academic hospitalist since 2014 and enjoys teaching doctors-in-training how to provide safe inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care.

After earning a master's degree in human nutrition at Columbia University, Tatsis earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. She also has a master of business Administration degree from the University of California, Irvine.

An active member of the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists since 2014, Tatsis has served on committees and joined the board of directors in 2018. She aims to help further the society's mission to improve care for hospitalized pregnant women in the United States and address the rising maternal mortality rate. She is also dedicated to promoting obstetric hospital medicine as a subspecialty and hospitalist fellowship programs at academic medical centers as part of an effort to expand proven models of care and improve safety in labor and delivery units nationwide. She also serves as an oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
