The UCSF-John Muir Health Jean and Ken Hofmann Cancer Center in Walnut Creek offers East Bay residents the full range of cancer care. As a patient, you can expect world-class treatment rooted in cutting-edge research and tailored to your specific needs. You'll also find support services and educational resources to help you and your loved ones make decisions and actively participate in the healing process.

The collaboration between UCSF Health and John Muir Health enables patients to benefit from the strengths, expertise and resources of both institutions across multiple specialties. Patients can receive care in their own communities with easier access to clinical trials and the latest treatment advances.

Our team of surgical, medical and radiation oncologists is experienced in treating most cancers, including breast, colon, gynecologic, head and neck, blood, lung and urologic cancers. Their expertise includes surgery for liver, bile duct, gallbladder and pancreatic cancers.

Since 2018, UCSF Health and John Muir Health have been building a network to improve cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment for people in the East Bay. The network's first site, the UCSF-John Muir Health Cancer Center in Berkeley, opened in February 2020.

Parking and drop-off

Located in the Behring Pavilion, the cancer center has patient drop-off locations at entrances on the first and second floors.

Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the building and in the nearby garage.
